1. What accreditation will the
Distance Learning programme give me ? Is it equivalent to a
diploma ?
|
|
On completing certain modules, you will receive a certificate,
not a diploma. (A Diploma is given for a longer period of
study, and would normally comprise at least 3 or 4 modules.)
XIC, and TeleXIC which it incorporates, is an autonomous
body and its diplomas and certificates have a premium value in
the media industry. This is why XIC students are much sought
after by professional bodies in media production and corporate
communication. |

|
2. What is the duration of the course ?
|
|
The Distance Learning Programme for each
subject ( module) is planned to last 6 – 8 months. On
registration and payment of the required fees, the student is
given his/her login name and password.
On expiry of the allotted time, both login name and
password will lapse; if the course has not been completed,
re-registration with payment of the full fee will be required.
On completion of the course, a certificate (in hard
copy) is sent to all successful candidates (within 30 days).
The duration for Self Enhancement Courses is one month and,
effective 2008, a Certificate of Completion is awarded on
successful performance in the Test.
The Distance Education Programme does not
have a fixed registration date. This means that the student
can apply for the course at any time, and he/she can begin the
course at any time. From the day the student registers, he/she
is given access for a stipulated period within which the
course is to be completed. |
